Uprooting my life from South Africa to the Netherlands was a whirlwind of new experiences and self-discovery. Every street, every face was fresh, each day brought novel excitement and unfamiliar challenges. But as the months rolled on, the initial thrill began to wane, revealing a profound truth: no matter where we find ourselves, the essence of our experiences remains strikingly similar. The daily routines and the core of our lives persist, regardless of the backdrop. Happiness, therefore, is not found in constant change but in how we navigate our everyday lives.
